UFC star Jorge Masvidal is blazing all guns against his rivals ahead of his fight at UFC 287. While he has been at loggerheads with Colby Covington since time

immemorial, Khamzat Chimaev also faced the brunt of his scathing remarks recently. However, if ‘Gamebred’ can back his words with a splendid display inside the Octagon, he can leapfrog ‘Chaos’ for the title shot. Notably, the American fighter who eyes breaking his 4-loss slump as he faces Gilbert Burns in Miami on April 8 might cut the line if he decimates the Brazilian fighter. The UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier theorized the same and also heaped praise on the welterweight fighter for nailing the promotional tactics.

The former UFC champion speculated a sole stunning win separates the Miami native and the shot at the coveted title. Markedly, the UFC veteran voiced his opinion ahead of the UFC PPV when he appeared on the latest segment of 3 Rounds w/ Daniel Cormier.

Cormier believes Jorge Masvidal might establish himself as a top contender

DC interestingly pointed out the odds attached to the fight that label Masvidal as an underdog. Despite the odds, the former wrestler mentioned those were redundant if the 38-year-old got the job done.

Thus, he said, “Like I said, he’s a three-to-one dog [underdog], but if you listen to him. Masvidal doesn’t question if he gets the job done.”

Following this, the former UFC associate revealed he could envision a fight involving him and the champion, Leon Edwards. Thus, he suggested, “This guy wins impressively with his star power. I could see him right in the conversation for a fight against Leon Edwards.”

Earlier, Cormier also commended the American Top Team representative for his promotional game. Hence, he put, “With that one appearance, Gamebred has made himself the talk of the town again. And all these quotes that he’s doing, that’s promotion rule number one.”

Jorge Masvidal last faced Colby Covington in a grudge match at UFC 271. However, his last trip to Octagon didn’t produce a favorable result as he racked the 16th loss of his professional career.
