‘The Devastator’ is back—and he’s bringing the heat, dropping opponent after opponent. Dominick Reyes is riding a three-fight win streak, and with his dominant victory over Nikita Krylov, he’s proved that despite his setbacks since the Jon Jones fight, he remains one of the most dangerous men in the division. So, what’s next for the former UFC title challenger? Well, as he climbs the light-heavyweight ladder all over again, ‘The Devastator’ has put the entire division on notice.

Dominick Reyes came out sharp against the Russian light-heavyweight contender. In the very first round, Krylov tried to press forward and landed one solid right, which caught Reyes off-guard, but this was a mistake from the fighter. As Krylov charged further, the 14-4 fighter slid back and uncorked a laser-straight left that split the guard and shut the lights off—a sequence as Rogan pointed out, was similar to Conor McGregor finishing Jose Aldo.

After his victory against Krylov, Reyes is riding a three-fight winning streak—all knockouts. So, what’s next for the former title contender? Well, after his victory, ‘The Devastator,’ in his conversation with the Full Send MMA, ascertained that he has three names on his mind right now, “Rakic would be a great fight. The winner was Khalil and Jamahal Hill. Who doesn’t want to see me rematch Jiri Prochazka?”

Alexander Rakic, Jamahal Hill, Khalil Rountree, and even his former foe Jiri Prochazka have been challenged by ‘The Devastator.’ But he didn’t stop there—he even emphasized that he would take the title from Magomed Ankalaev, “You know, fight one of them, get the title, and then I’ll fight all of them.”  

The light-heavyweight division is going through a process of metamorphism after Alex Pereira was defeated by Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 313. The new champion has agreed to an immediate rematch, but ‘Poatan’ appears to be in a mood to take a break before getting back inside the Octagon again.

Dominick Reyes laid bare his plans for this year

After his loss to Jon Jones, Dominick Reyes went on a three-fight losing streak against Jan Blachowicz, Jiri Procházka, and Ryan Spann. Following that skid, ‘The Devastator’ took a two-year hiatus from the sport before making his return to the Octagon against Dustin Jacoby—and he’s been unstoppable ever since.

While having a conversation with Khelnow, Reyes was asked about his plans for this year, to which the former title challenger asserted, “I’m not some random guy who’s unproven. People know exactly who I am. I go out there and show the world, remind the world, that I put on a great performance, finished the guy who hasn’t been finished in a long time. And yeah, I’ll become undeniable. Maybe one more and then a fight, a title fight. Who knows? Maybe jump the line.”

As of April, Dominick Reyes stands at the #11th position in the light-heavyweight rankings, and a victory against his next opponent might propel him to the top five.
