Arman Tsarukyan currently finds himself on Dana White’s wrong side. And the result? The Armenian is no longer in the immediate lightweight title contention following his UFC 311 pullout. However, the #1 ranked 155fer seems to have no issues making his way back to the top. Moreover, UFC commentator and former double champion Daniel Cormier has a plan for ‘Ahalkalakets’ to get that rematch against Islam Makhachev sooner rather than later.
For Cormier, there is hardly anyone as deserving of a title shot as Tsarukyan in the 155-pound division, which is why he believes it’s unfair to write him off as Dana White did. However, he understands why such things occur because it happened to fighters in the past as well. “Right now, you have Tsarukyan, who really does deserve to still fight for the belt. I don’t know the circumstances behind his injury [and] his pullout, but I do know, or, at least, feel like him not walking back into a title fight is a little bit [unfair],” Cormier stated on the ‘Good Guy/Bad Guy’ show.
“We all have consequences to our decisions, right? Injury, and sometimes it might be unfair… Him not walking back into a title fight made me like, ‘Ok, dude. We really had to scramble. Now, you’ve got to go, earn your way back.'”

Thereafter, the Hall of Famer turned his attention to Jon Jones, to point out a similar course of action White took with the now-heavyweight champion. However, everything worked out after ‘Bones’ proved his reliability to the UFC CEO, and things were back to normal.
Daniel Cormier suggests Arman Tsarukyan uses the same method that Jones used to get into White’s good graces. “Do you remember for a while, Dana was saying stuff like, ‘I’m never going to let Jon Jones headline a PPV again.’ And then, Jon Jones started making it to the fights, and he started doing well, and it’s like, ‘Okay, let’s keep doing business,'” Daniel Cormier further stated. “[For Tsarukyan] it’s almost like, you have to go find that goodwill again. I think it’s going to take Tsarukyan one fight.”

Meanwhile, Arman Tsarukyan really put in a lot of effort to challenge Islam Makhachev, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out in his favor. The Armenian star recently revealed how much he had spent for his UFC 311 camp, and the amount was mindboggling.

Is it fair for Tsarukyan to climb the ladder again after spending so much on his camp?

Arman Tsarukyan reveals the absurd cost of his recent training camp
Arman Tsarukyan comes from a fairly rich family, and we’ve seen glimpses of it on various posts on social media. However, he doesn’t just spend money on luxury items and also pumps in a considerable amount in his training as well. Apparently, the 28-year-old was so determined to get a win back against Islam Makhachev that he spent close to $100,000 every month.

“Yeah, it’s expensive. Especially if you bring the whole team. My last training camp was fifteen [people]. Four coaches and eleven sparring partners,” Arman Tsarukyan revealed on the ‘JAXXON Podcast’. “[For] two weeks, it cost me about $20K. One month, $40K. Without flights… and salary for the coaches, about $50/$60K [per month].”
It’s understandable if Tsarukyan is disappointed with Dana White’s decision to remove him from the title scene after spending so much just to ensure his victory for that one big fight. What’s done is done and the only thing that matters is what he will do next. What do you think? Should Tsarukyan get a title shot on his return or make his way back by claiming the ladder once again?
