“I grew up like any other normal child,” said Cory Sandhagen to Metrolife once. At first glance, Sandhagen looks quite unassuming. You wouldn’t think he’s a professional fighter. But as unassuming as he comes across outside the Octagon, he’s equally dangerous inside of it. ‘The Sandman’ has been part of the UFC since 2018, carving out a reputation for precision, patience, and highlight-reel knockouts. The 33-year-old bantamweight contender has faced the best, from Aljamain Sterling to TJ Dillashaw, and come out wiser each time.

Funnily enough, he made a humorous remark about his opponent, Deiveson Figueiredo, saying that the latter helped him earn $2 million from OF. He declared on social media via a video, saying, “So I gotta take time out of my day, almost every day to, you know, do my Onlyf*ns. Everyone wants to kind of sh*t on me for having them as a sponsor or whatever, but the joke’s on you; I made $2 million last month. Mostly from this guy. I don’t know who he is. His tagger name is ‘Godofhorrors69’. I’m pretty sure it’s Figgy [Figueiredo]. Everything he writes me is in broken English…He makes me do all kinds of crazy sh*t for him, like sing stupid karaoke songs.”
He accused his opponent of following him from an unknown account and paying him to do bizarre things on OF. We don’t know for sure if Sandhagen made that $2 million “mostly from” Figueiredo, but we do know that Sandhagen is one of those athletes with multiple bonuses to his name.
