At BKFC 74, chaos erupted as the headline clash between Josh Dyer and Mike Richman turned into a brutal bloodbath. The former U.S. Marine, drenched in crimson, refused to back down and fought valiantly until Dyer sealed the victory. On May 10, 2025, in Salt Lake City, UT, Dyer had vowed to strip Richman of his light-heavyweight crown—and he delivered. The savage showdown left fans stunned and even drew praise from Conor McGregor, who saluted Richman’s warrior spirit.

The battle between Josh Dyer and Mike Richman was nothing short of a clash between equals, but in the end, Dyer emerged victorious. The headlining event was halted just 58 seconds into the fourth round after Richman sustained a significant cut on his forehead, leaving him badly bloodied. The fight was stopped by the officials as Dyer had scored the only knockdown of the bout.

Part-owner of BKFC, Conor McGregor, was left awestruck by the sheer sportsmanship displayed by both fighters. However, it was Richman who truly impressed ‘The Notorious.’ Despite his defeat, the U.S. Marine showed incredible heart by going all out against his opponent, even while battling through injuries. The former UFC dual weight champion took to his Instagram handle to upload a story of bloodied Richman and captioned it as, “Our former LHW champion, US Marine, went out on his shield attempting to defend and retain his world title, but it wasn’t to be this night.

He further added, “However, take one look at this man and you know — a bad mother——-, seen bodies and turned them into bodies too. Only at Bare Knuckle will you see these utter maniacs.” Showcasing valour and sportsmanship, Richman accepted his defeat but ascertained that he would come back stronger.

In the meantime, Josh Dyer called out Mike Perry following his victory over the UFC veteran, “I checked my Instagram account last night and I see nobody but Mike Perry, saying, ‘Dyer, I hope you win so I can punch your little face for the belt.’ Well, I want to say this to Perry. If you don’t accept this fight, there’s not a man in your whole family. I’ll put my belt up against your belt. Come get it.”

Conor McGregor BKFC ends up in trouble due to a blunder

Last week, BKFC made a huge blunder when they announced that they would be signing former UFC fighter Jeff Molina under their banner. Now, for those who don’t remember about the Jeff Molina fiasco, let us remind you that he was the flyweight fighter on whom a three-year ban was slapped by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for betting on his friend Darrick Minner’s fight and failing to disclose Minner’s injury.

BKFC initially announced in a post that they would be signing the controversial fight under their banner. However, they soon retracted their statement after realizing their mistake. In another post uploaded by the management, they ascertained that it was a mistake on their part about the Molina announcement and expressed that they have not signed Molina. “Yesterday’s announcement regarding Jeff Molina’s signing was premature,” the Bare Knuckle promotion wrote on X (via a report by the BBC).

The post further added, “We respect the ABC’s [Athletic Boxing Commission’s] current suspension and will honour their rules and suspensions.” BKFC certainly acted swiftly before they were called out by the athletic commission for their mismanagement.
