Joe Rogan has numerous guests on his world-famous Joe Rogan Experience podcast but only a handful of them get special treatment because they have appeared more than once on the JRE platform. Take Jordan Peterson for example, he has been to the podcast at least 8 times! But while some recurring appearances are appreciated by the fans others are not so welcome. And mind you the fans are pretty vocal about their preferences.
Even though the UFC color commentator is unapologetic about his views and opinions, people do not appreciate some of the guests he brings on the show, like Josh Dubin. Yes, the same advocate who appeared on JRE almost 7 times now. He has been an advocate for justice system reform for approximately two decades. He also was the co-manager for WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson who was accused of poisoning Floyd Schofield. This is the same advocate who helped convict turned activist Sheldon Johnson Jr, who committed a heinous crime just months after appearing on JRE #2096 with Dubin.
Each and every time Dubin comes to JRE, he praises the show’s impactful platform and how Rogan spreads awareness. However, his association with Johnson Jr. got huge backlash from fans of JRE. They commented on Reddit on the latest episode #2287 where Dubin was the guest again.

Johnson also had appeared on Rogan’s podcast as a criminal justice reform activist (before committing another crime). Jailed several times when he was young, he was mainly convicted for dru— related crimes. Supposedly, during one such robbery and dr— problem, one man was injured and he had a 50-year prison sentence due to that from 1997 to 2049. However, he was released in 2023 after 25 years on grounds of good conduct. Nevertheless, after appearing on JRE #2096, and advocating for wrongly accused people, he committed another crime in 2024 by allegedly ki—his childhood friend Colin Small. He was arrested and charged potentially for life. The fans were shocked to see Dubin again since he advocated for Johnson before this crime happened.

Fans brutally reprimand Joe Rogan for bringing Josh Dubin, again
After this heinous crime committed by Johnson, his lawyer Josh Dubin did not make a public appearance for a long time. Nevertheless, he returned as a guest to JRE recently and a rather melancholy-looking Dubin admitted that he was still in shock about what happened. In episode #2228 he said, “I called him a miracle on this show. And the media shoved that straight up my *ss…I’ve had a lot of time to think about this. And you and I have discussed this privately and I kind of went into a hole.”
But the fans were not sympathetic after watching the #2287 where Dubin appeared with J.D. Tomlinson who was also charged with evidence tampering in 2024 which later was dropped. One follower of JRE said, “Dubin always come across as arrogant and that what he’s saying is the most important thing you’ve ever heard.”

Another netizen wrote, “Always. He’s insufferable. Makes it all about himself,” while one said, “I’d rather have Mike Baker on than listen to this clown.” For the unversed, Mike Baker spent 15 years in the CIA, working in counterterrorism and counter-narcotics operations across the globe. He has appeared more than fifteen times on JRE. One follower said, “Joe does not fuc–ng learn,” while another stated, “Boring af.”
