If there is one thing we know about Kevin Holland, it is that the man likes to fight. “I’m hoping to fight six times this year if they let me. Maybe seven,” Holland said in January, before his first fight of 2025. “I never came to the UFC to fight for a world title. I came to get paid… I may not have the most wins in the UFC, but I damn sure will have the most fights.” For the unversed, Holland has fought 20 times since 2020 between 170lbs and 185lbs. The man loves to fight, get paid, and isn’t really bothered about anything else!

If we talk about 2025, ‘Trailblazer’ fought the dangerous Reinier de Ridder at UFC 311, which was followed by slugging it out against Gunnar Nelson at UFC London. Moreover, Holland even offered to step in at UFC 314 against Carlos Prates when his original opponent, Geoff Neal, pulled out from the card. Talk about being a madman! With two fights already under his belt in the first quarter of this year, and another just announced, it seems ‘Trailblazer’ is on his way to fight six times this year.

The Texas resident is set to take on fan-favorite, exciting welterweight dynamo Vicente Luque at UFC 316 on June 6. So far, Holland has been fighting just over every two months in 2025. And if that trend continues, he will indeed be able to fight six times a year. Assuming, of course, he doesn’t get into any epic and punishing battles with one of his opponents, which would require him to take an extensive break.

And Luque, his next opponent, may be the first to give ‘Trailblazer’ an absolute war. The Brazilian, of course, is known for his exciting, striking first fighting style and knack for getting into electrifying clashes. No matter if he wins or loses. However, more than even the intriguing Luque-Holland matchup, fans couldn’t help but marvel at the Riverside native’s level of activity.

Fans commend Kevin Holland for taking his third fight in six months

As we have mentioned, most of the fans were just gobsmacked that Holland is choosing to fight for a third time in six months, with one particular fan joking about the reason he is always willing to fight: “Holland’s rent is always due”. Another fan was super-impressed with ‘Trailblazer’s work ethic and marveled at his willingness to keep fighting without taking any time off: “Holland the most active ufc fighter I’ve ever seen.”

One fan pointed out how Holland was basically the second coming of Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, who, like ‘Trailblazer’, fought as much as possible and took too many short-notice fights to keep track of: “Holland is basically the cowboy cerrone of today 💀 Anybody, Anytime & Anywhere”. Holland, of course, doesn’t care about titles or even winning fights, which, according to one fan, is okay since he is always ready to fight: “He may not be the best but I respect tf out of Holland. Bros always fighting.”

One fan, however, was more excited at the exciting matchup between Holland and Luque, who always come to fight, and more importantly, come to entertain: “LFG🔥”. Another fan seconded this sentiment and praised UFC CEO Dana White for making this exciting matchup for UFC 315: “Dana cooking”.

Holland, of course, fights both at 170lbs and 185lbs. And one fan felt that since he would be fighting Luque at welterweight, there is a good chance ‘Trailblazer’ beats the Brazilian dynamo: “Kevin Holland at 170 is a demon I lowkey feel he can win this”.
