The pay-per-view event of March 4, 2023, would finally let Amanda Nunes get back into action. The UFC warrior has repeatedly displayed her strength and superior technique by defeating her title against multiple fighters in the world of mixed martial arts. She defeated the likes of Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, and Holly Holm. Furthermore, she has seven title defenses, five in the bantamweight and two in the featherweight category, making her one of the two women to have the highest title defenses in the UFC. However, ‘The Lioness’ would get yet another chance to defend her champion’s title in UFC 285. With the revelation of the opponent who would go against the female double champion, the world is indeed waiting for the action to fill the Octagon once again.

Along with Nunes, UFC 285 has a lot more in store for the fans. Especially the fight where Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane would be pitted against each other in the Octagon. Nonetheless, the cards carry nothing other than excitement for the fans.

Amanda Nunes got herself a title defense in UFC 285

The MMA reporter, Aaron Bronsteter, recently took to Twitter and responded to a tweet by Raphael Marinho. Bronsteter wrote that Dana White was looking to have ‘The Lioness’ fight against Irene Aldana for the women’s bantamweight championship. 

He wrote, “Per @raphamarinho of Combate, the UFC are looking to book Amanda Nunes vs. Irene Aldana on the UFC 285 card for the women’s bantamweight championship.” Nunes previously exacted revenge on Julianna Peña at UFC 277 and took back the title of bantamweight champion. Without a doubt, if the upcoming bout gets confirmed, it would be the first title defense for ‘The Lioness’ after reclaiming her title.

Ranking at number five, Aldana would get her first-ever chance to claim the title and fight the reigning champion. Without a doubt, the fans would in fact go crazy over the bout if Aldana goes against Nunes on March 4, 2023.

UFC 285 can’t stop exciting the fans. Along with Nunes’ title defense, Jones and Gane are also set to land against each other. Previously, ‘Bones’ had teased the fans about his return to the UFC as a heavyweight fighter. Furthermore, the French mixed martial artist also went ahead and declared his wish to fight Jones.
