Conor McGregor—the fighter, businessman, whiskey (and beer) maker, clothing mogul, fight promoter, and actor. That is many faces for one man. And it doesn’t seem like his stopping. At one point, fighting in the UFC was the pinnacle of success in McGregor’s books. But once he reached that point, more doors opened, and the Irishman capitalized on the opportunities that brought themselves to him as a result of his success as a star fighter. Now, McGregor is in the entertainment business, acting in movies, and heading a record label in Ireland called Greenback Records.

Conor McGregor’s first-ever movie gig was a remake of the 1989 classic ‘Road House’ , with many people claiming that he essentially played himself in the role of the villain. His role in that film saw him getting the opportunity to work alongside Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal. That said, his movie journey couldn’t have started on a better note. Recently, the 36-year-old got to meet one of the most legendary comedians/actors ever, Adam Sandler and McGregor shared a picture of them together.

Conor McGregor made a confession while posting the picture. The Irishman just recently entered the movie business because before that, for many years, the fight game was all that he cared about. But now with his ventures into acting and the music business, McGregor said Adam Sandler was also among those people who inspired him because of his body of work in Hollywood.

While expressing his excitement about Sandler’s soon-to-be-released Happy Gilmore 2, Conor McGregor wrote, “One of our movie industry’s great creators Mr Adam R. Sandler! Put his whole team on and changed the game! Inspiration! Can’t wait for “Happy Gilmore 2” out July 25th on [Netflix]! Rock On Adam San!” Adam Sandler is one of Hollywood’s biggest exports, as his movies have grossed billions of dollars in total. In fact, he’s among the top 10 richest actors in the world right now. So McGregor surely gave him the props that he rightfully deserves.

Well, Conor McGregor isn’t the only UFC figure to be acquainted with Adam Sandler because the Hollywood star also has connections to Dana White. And guess? They are working together on an entertainment project as well. Here’s what we know.

Adam Sandler is working with the UFC for a comedy show

As serious as the fight game is, Dana White and Adam Sandler reportedly started working together in 2023 to create a show centered around the UFC. The first announcement came when the CEO announced that fans could be getting content similar to Conor McGregor’s docuseries, ‘McGregor Forever’, after which ‘Fight Inc: Inside the UFC’ came out. Now, a scripted comedy series will also be coming out in the future where Sandler will be either starring in it or be involved with that show behind the scenes.
