For every UFC fighter who becomes champion, their first title is always the most special one as it personifies their greatness inside the Octagon. Former double champion Henry Cejudo recently lost his prized possession from his studio in Phoenix, Arizona, which has clearly left him distraught. ‘Triple C’ shed light on getting robbed, revealing that he’s asked Dana White for an uncommon favor. After reports of his stolen belt ran wild in the MMA community, Henry Cejudo’s first championship ended up on eBay. It was priced at $10,000, and the seller’s name appeared to be someone named ‘DJmouse’.

The 38-year-old later confirmed that it was the same belt he won after beating the legendary Demetrious Johnson at UFC 227. “It’s the old-school belt [that was stolen]. So, you know, that’s the one I beat from Demetrious Johnson, dude,” Cejudo stated in a recent episode of the ‘Pound 4 Pound’ podcast.

Seeing that the seller on eBay mocked Cejudo by putting a name that resembled ‘Mighty Mouse’, his co-host Kamaru Usman found it hilarious. However, the discussion took a bit of a serious turn when ‘Triple’ mentioned having done nothing but good to others. He even saved a young guy who recently crashed his neighbor’s house from death, since people were carrying guns. A dejected Cejudo couldn’t comprehend why he was having such a hard time.

“Listen, man, I did a good deed. I could have really hurt this dude, too. I helped my neighbor from being physically assaulted… This guy could have died, actually. My neighbor had a gun, and my other neighbor had a gun. This dude would have been dead,” Henry Cejudo further stated. “A few days later, my house gets broken into. You know what I’m saying? It’s kind of like ‘ah’! I got this nasty feeling in me.”

It didn’t take Henry Cejudo much time to ring his manager, Ali Abdelaziz, demanding that he talk to Dana White and give him a real UFC championship title. The new one won’t be the same as the one he won at UFC 227. However, it’s what Cejudo wants owing to the bad time he has been having since UFC Seattle.

“I talked to Ali to see if he can talk to Dana and see if the UFC is willing to give me a, you know, I don’t want a replica. The replicas are different. I wasn’t my actual belt, man,” Henry Cejudo added. “I mean, it is what it is and I lost my gold medal in a fire and lost this now. Like, these last months Kamaru, with me getting poked in the f—ing eye… this hit-and-run and then this robbery… I wonder why all this s–t is just accumulating.”

Besides his championship belt, the robber took some of the other stuff from his studio as well. About $10,000 worth of items vanished, which is a pretty staggering number. But in the meantime, Cejudo has found support in the combat community, with a former national champion coming to his aid.

A national boxing champion is willing to pay to bring the belt back to Henry Cejudo

Hughie Johnston, who’s not only a former national champion but also a Golden Gloves and Junior Olympics winner as well, is a very close friend to former UFC champion Henry Cejudo. After hearing the news about the robbery, Johnston appears to have wasted no time in declaring that he’d be paying $10,000 to the person who retrieves the stolen title, according to reports, and promised not to harm the robber if it’s him returning the title.

Johnston also claimed that most people are aware of the situation. Naturally, nobody will be attempting to buy the UFC title and put themselves into a situation they don’t want to be in. “You’re not going to be able to sell it. You’re not going to get anything out of it. It’s going to be red-hot. Every pawnshop in town isn’t going to want to buy that. You’re going to know that it belongs to Triple C. He earned it the hard way,” Henry Cejudo’s friend stated a couple of days ago. “Cejudo will not pick you up, drop you on your head, put you in a pretzel, and deliver justice like he does typically to people that break the law in the state of Arizona.”

Well, it’ll be interesting to see how this offer from Henry Cejudo’s close friends turns out. But in the meantime, let us know what you think. Will he get back his title? Drop your comments below.
