The two heavyweights will square off against each other in a tussle over the vacant heavyweight title. As the event draws near, the heated exchange has escalated, which also includes some hilarious takes. While the former UFC champion moves up a division in a quest to cement his legacy, the recent interesting statements caught him off-guard. The amusing remarks made at the press conference leading up to the main event in Las Vegas caught the fans’ eyeballs, too.

Notably, the 35-year-old engaged in interaction with the reporters on Thursday at the press conference. However, he expressed surprise when a comparison between him and Michael Jordan and a similar one between LeBron James and ‘Bon Gamin’ was suggested. Despite his earlier praise of the French fighter, ‘Bones’ couldn’t wrap his head around the suggestion.

Following this, the 26-1-1 record holder clarified the GOAT debate didn’t work that way. Thus, he added, “You hear Ciryl talking about wanting to win this fight to considered the GOAT. It just doesn’t work that way.”

Markedly, on the remarks of his comparison with Michael Jordan, the Fight Ready product informed he felt honored that people put him in the same class. Further, he mentioned it meant the world to him and his job was to stay humble and continue to work hard.
