The fight world has been full of wild headlines lately, but few names have managed to stir the pot outside combat sports quite like IShowSpeed. At just 20 years old, the streamer-turned-cultural phenomenon has been on a coast-to-coast tour, crashing into cities, drawing massive crowds, and making noise everywhere he goes. And now, somehow, his latest stunt has fight fans screaming for a matchup no one saw coming.

So it was day 27 of his US tour, and IShowSpeed found himself at Seattle’s popular StreetBeefs Scrapyard. He stepped up to take on an enthusiastic fan, which drew a lot of attention on many major online social media platforms. From the opening bell, the popular influencer showed a lot of aggression, showcasing his speed, which he’s known for, and really managed to overwhelm his opponent with a barrage of punches.

The spectators were certainly impressed with the 20-year-old, witnessing his skills and athleticism. He dominated the exchanges early in the first minute of the scrap. Some people thought IShowSpeed might win the fight, but it became evident that his gas tank wasn’t up to the mark. He started to slow down as his opponent also landed some shots of his own.

Of course, the fight had its flaws. The gas tank ran empty after a furious first minute, and once fatigue set in, the punches lost sting. By the end, both fighters had slowed to a halt. But that didn’t stop the clip from detonating online. Within hours, social media turned the spar into a matchmaking frenzy — with one name standing above all: Jake Paul.

The fight finally came to an end as both of them stopped, but then the buzz on social media took shape. While some fans saw the plus points in Ishowspeed’s skillset, others saw some holes. Also, they believe that they have the perfect opponent in mind. Here’s what they had to say.

Should IShowSpeed fight Jake Paul? Fans weigh in

IShowSpeed first came into prominence as a gaming streamer, who later transitioned into a travel streamer and has also collaborated with a number of celebrities. Most of the celebrities he met have been athletes, and the 20-year-old never misses out on showing how athletic he really is. Speed has raced many of them and has emerged as the winner on most occasions. But after witnessing his fighting skills, fans were convinced that IShowSpeed has been blessed with athletic talent. “Actually really good…god blesses a certain few people with potential at everything….and bro is making the most of it,” a fan commented on Instagram in that regard.

As another fan commented, “Bro is actually good,” another user on Instagram how IShowSpeed has been able to do a variety of things on his streams. “Just racking up the most random sidequests.”However, as a fighter, people did not rate IShowSpeed enough because they believe that he’s yet to realize his potential. “U got potential but at this moment all u got is potential jajaja and a lot of money,” one of those fans wrote. On the other hand, they want to see perhaps the biggest influencer boxing fight ever against Jake Paul, who’s gearing up to fight Gervonta Davis. “Speed v jake Paul lmao.”

Then came the observant fight fans, who took issue with the way IShowSpeed used up all of his stamina. They criticized him for getting tired pretty early in his fight and even advised him not to waste his energy. A couple of fans wrote, “Fighting will humble you. Bro could barely last 1 round without gassing out,” and, “Speed wasting took much energy on useless swings,” in that regard.
