Canelo Alvarez versus Gennadiy Golovkin’s third boxing match. Their first two matches were controversial and hence, the third bout was supposed to set the record straight. Alvarez won the match through a unanimous decision. However, UFC’s Joe Rogan was there to watch the match and had the experience of one in a lifetime.

In episode #1872 of the JRE, Rogan revealed one incident that took place when he was attending the event. As per the podcaster, he attended the fight with his friend, Dave Chappelle but were asked to move from their seats.

Rogan revealed, “Chappelle and I were in the third row, which was amazing. We are like right there. And then this guy comes over and says, ‘You guys have to move. These tickets are not yours.’ And Dave goes, ‘I’m Dave Chappelle, I’m not moving anywhere’.”

The UFC analyst couldn’t contain his laughter. Between fits of laughter, Rogan said, “He said it like that. That’s, he’s wearing sunglasses. He’s the coolest guy that’s ever lived.”

However, the story didn’t end there. In fact, it took a better turn as it gave Rogan and Chappelle the opportunity to view the match much closer than before.

“And so the guy comes back and said, ‘These seats are actually for Travis Scott’ but we wanna put you on the ringside. And Dave and I looked at each other like ‘okay’.”

Thus, as per Rogan, both got excited.

Further in the discussion, the podcaster spoke about viewing the match while seated right in front.

Joe Rogan said, “… they take us from the third row to the no-row, like not even a row. You’re f***ing right there, dude. We’re sitting like we’re the official there.”

Joe Rogan thought it was an ‘incredible’ experience. The UFC commentator seems to have had a lot of fun watching the highly anticipated match happen with no obstructions before them. He was able to catch the last six rounds or so from the extreme front of the arena.

Additionally, the MMA analyst has several good things to say about both, Alvarez and GGG. While the Mexican fighter was able to put a lot of pressure on his opponent, Rogan felt GGG was still great, considering his age.
