UFC legend, Chael Sonnen sends a warning to Conor McGregor and Jake Paul. Although the idea of squashing beef sounds good, it might not be that straightforward. The former middleweight fighter mentions that he is a licensed fight promoter. Furthermore, the Irish MMA fighter and the American boxer have unknowingly taken similar steps in the past few days. Though their motive is entirely different, the UFC legend sees both of them facing some serious consequences because of their actions on their social handles.

Chael Sonnen warns Conor McGregor and others

Conor McGregor recently challenged his friend-turned-foe as ‘the Russian hammer’ sued the Irishman for a majority stake in proper 12. Moreover, this enraged the former two-division UFC champion, leading him to call Artem Lobov a ‘Rat’ in a now-deleted tweet.

For this purpose, the Irish globetrotter proposed to squash the beef in the gym with the victor, claiming the victory spoils. A similar incident occurred when America YouTube sensation Jake Paul proposed to fight another UFC fighter, Paddy Pimblett, in a sparring session with the victor claiming $1 million.

However, Sonnen wasn’t happy with the idea.

Sonnen said, “I tell you that as a licensed promoter, as soon as we have a victory. We no longer had a practice. And as soon as your participation in the combat that is going to result in a victory incentive.”

He further added, “That little balloon we had where we thought we could all be boys and be boy and just settle things the old-fashioned way. It is gone, it is completely gone, and a crime has committed.”

Although he believes that the offer ‘The Problem Child‘ gave to ‘Baddy‘ was sweet, it was not legal. Paul offered to fly Pimblett over to Puerto Rico in a private jet for them to spar.
