Conor McGregor‘s smack-talking skills seem to have rubbed off on the people closest to him. The former double champ’s longtime coach and mentor John Kavanagh might have picked up a thing or two from ‘The Notoroious’ after spending years together in the gym. Kavanagh, while responding to the recent back-and-forth that took place between McGregor and boxer Carl Froch, chimed in with his opinion on how a fight would go down between them, displaying a touch of the former double champ’s trash-talking skills.

Responding to a now-deleted tweet, the 46-year-old coach made what fans would call a stunning prediction for his student.

Former boxing champions, Carl Froch and George Groves’s recent interaction got McGregor talking about stepping back into the boxing ring once again. Froch, on his YouTube channel, had shared a quick-fire session with fellow former boxer George Groves, wherein he addressed the idea of facing McGregor in a boxing bout and, surprisingly, even in an MMA cage.

After all the developments that followed, John Kavanagh came out and gave what he felt was a fair assessment of how a possible fight for ‘The Notorious’ would pan out with either of the two boxers. “I think it’d take him at least 30 seconds to incapacitate both,” he tweeted.

Carl Froch earlier offered to fight McGregor in the cage, much to the amusement of fans

Earlier, Froch, 45, had claimed that he wouldn’t mind facing McGregor in a boxing ring, and considering his expertise in the sport that wouldn’t have been surprising at all for fans. But his next statement was what surprised his viewers, and probably even forced Kavanagh to come up with his prediction of the fight.

“I’d fight Conor McGregor in the cage. I could be getting myself in trouble here or into a position I can’t wiggle out of, but I think I’d take him on in the cage. He’s too small,” said Froch.

While there is no doubt a boxing bout would provide a much fairer opportunity for Forch, his take on an MMA fight with a former double champ didn’t really sit well with some fans.
