World No. 1 Novak Djokovic lost in the second round of the first tournament of the clay season, Monte Carlo Masters. He lost to world number 55 Jiri Vesely 4-6, 6-2, 4-6. The last time he was knocked out in the second round of a tournament was in Madrid Masters in 2013.
