Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker was among the notable absentees as the NBA All-Stars reserves list came out.

Booker, 23, is playing his fifth season in NBA. He is averaging 27.1 points, shooting 51 percent from the floor. He has also contributed with 6.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game so far.
The numbers definitely suggest he should be among the All-Stars this year. However, the Western Conference reserves who made it to the team were- Damian Lillard, Russell Westbrook, Donovan Mitchell, and Chris Paul.
Booker’s exclusion surprised many. Among those were Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young and Minnesota Timberwolves centre Karl-Anthony Towns. Young, a starter in the Eastern Conference All-Star line-up, tweeted saying Booker should’ve got into the All-Stars. Young averages 2.1 points per game more than Booker.

Meanwhile, for Karl-Anthony Towns, the exclusion of Booker was a “joke”.
Also, Los Angeles Clippers’ Lou Williams expressed his disappointment with Booker’s exclusion.
We need some consistency in what’s rewarded in the selection process. D book should be a perennial all star, but he isn’t based on winning. But the guys that’s winning not getting in either lol. So is it numbers, or winning, or name recognition?
