The soccer world expected Mauricio Pochettino to take the USMNT’s reins before this month’s friendlies start. However, US Soccer chose Gregg Berhalter’s assistant Mikey Varas to lead the USMNT in the clashes against Jesse Marsch’s Canada and New Zealand. And, as per reports, Jack Robinson will start working as the USMNT’s goalkeeping coach before the friendlies begin later this week.

Robinson was a part of Klopp’s Liverpool project for over six years. So, he has coached Alisson Becker during Liverpool’s triumphs in the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League. Before that, the 37-year-old was a part of England’s U-16 and U-15 teams.

In addition, he has gained coaching experience with young players at the Manchester United academy, as well as at the academies of Leeds United and Crystal Palace. The Englishman holds a UEFA B license for coaching and a UEFA A license for goalkeeper coaching.
