Nong-O Hama proved that his age is not a barrier
The win was as spectacular as one might visualize it Nong-O Hama made sure that everyone heard his words. Kiulabdam had amassed three first-round finishes before their meeting, and he was looking to break into the divisional rankings with a win over the former World Champion. With his fabled foe having suffered back-to-back knockouts over the last 12 months, the odds appeared to be in the younger star’s favor. But Nong-O was determined to quash any notion of him being over the hill, and he did just that.

He further added, “I feel like other fighters had underestimated me because of my age, but I don’t think they realize that I am still powerful, my body is still good, my physical strength is still good, and I can still fight, of course. I also have a lot of experience that they should be careful of.”

Hama has a word of advice for the fighters
With over 300 bouts to his name, the Evolve MMA representative showed he can still go up against the planet’s best and come out on top. While his last two setbacks have shown that he is not invincible, his longevity was clear for all to see against Kulabdam.
Many will wonder how he was able to come back after such a disappointing 2023, but Nong-O believes there is no big secret. “It all depends on how you take care of yourself. You know, there are a lot of fighters who are the same age as me, and they are still fighting actively, so I think it’s all about how you take care of your health,” he said.
