Well aware of the massive challenge before him, “The General” has left no stone unturned in his preparations. He says that he and his team at the famed Knowlesy Academy have carefully studied the Thai and are ready to deal with his best weapons – as well as exploit his weaknesses: “I believe in my coach, Christian Knowles, and he watches Superlek quite a lot, and we implement it in training a lot, not giving too much away.”

Beyond the technical preparations, Haggerty is doing everything in his power to ensure he’s in the best shape of his life when he enters the Circle in Denver. To that end, he’s spent the past several weeks in Colorado, adjusting to the altitude as he puts the final touches on his training camp.

He further added, “We know what his weaknesses are and his strengths. He likes his right side. His right side is his best attributes – his kicks, his elbows. So we’re here to exploit them on September 6.”

Those extra steps, Jonathan Haggerty says, have given him complete confidence: “I know what I have to do. I know what I’m capable of. I put 100 percent in my training. My coaches believe in me. So as long as I’m 100 percent, I believe I’m unstoppable.”
