IShowSpeed and street races are a thing now. Be it Jaylen Brown, Robert Griffin III, or Ashton Hall, he has defeated them all. Noah Lyles was also one of his competitors once, but obviously, the 200m world champion wasn’t going to lose. Speed’s latest competition came from a young Portland Vikings star, Amir Ahmed. On a busy street full of a Portland crowd, the two of them went head-to-head, and once again, the YouTuber won. But Ahmed is not done yet, he wants a rematch, and the fans are just not happy with his actions.

In a video posted on his Instagram account 2 days ago, he said, “I will never let this happen ever again as y’all may know speed actually came to portland to race the fastest man in portland unfortunately i let down the portland community so i’ll be starting my new series of training until i’m fast enough to beat speed in a rematch.” He announced that he’s going to display his journey to beating IShowSpeed in 2026, sharing daily updates on everything from running to weightlifting. He made it clear this is a one-time mission and that, while IShowSpeed can enjoy his moment now, he’ll never beat him again. “Dragging it,” a fan commented.

Fans already felt that he was milking this rivalry, and he uploaded the day 1 vlog. “Alright, guys, day one of training to beat Speed in 2026 in our rematch,” he said in the seven-second video, where you could only see him talking and sleeping. Ahmed calls himself the fastest man in all entire Portland. Now, while there is no concrete evidence to prove this, he has been a good athlete for the Portland Vikings.

Indoors, he was a part of his school’s record-breaking Mixed 4x400m Relay team, which ran an impressive 3:46.69 at the Spokane Invitational on December 14, 2024. He also helped the second-ranked Distance Medley Relay team post a strong 10:07.81 at the Riverfront Invitational on February 7, 2025. But the fans are not happy with what he is doing now.

Track and field fans not happy with Ahmed over IShowSpeed rematch

Amir Ahmed’s demand for a new match is not sitting well with track and field fans. One fan said, “Lmfao bro wasn’t racing u were chasing him😂😂😂😂, and u were not catching up lol.” When we look at the race between the two, Speed did win by a big margin, leaving Ahmed in the dust. One comment also read, “My dude is milking this. Take the L.” The track and field community does not want him to be a sore loser. Instead, they want him to accept the loss, and move on.

One person said, “But you will never lose to me again. Well guys, I guess he accepted his loss 👏👏😂😂😂😂”. Before these videos, Ahmed claimed that Speed cheated and was thus DQ’ed out of the race, meaning that Amir was the winner. He claimed the speed started running on the count of two rather than saying go. This claim fired back at him as track and field fans supported IShowSpeed.

A user also commented, “Just when I thought Ashton Hall was the only crybaby.” In June 2025, IShowSpeed and Ashton Hall raced four times, with IShowSpeed winning every race. Hall later posted a tearful video expressing his disappointment, where some people called him a crybaby. Fans are comparing Ahmed to that. What are your thoughts?
