The track isn’t the only place where World Champion and Olympic gold medalist Sha’Carri Richardson dominates — she turns it into her runway. From her iconic orange wig to sparkling American flag nail art, Richardson brings fashion and flair to every finish line. Whether it’s bold sunglasses or a Nike Dunk corset, the fastest woman alive sets trends as effortlessly as she breaks records. But she is not just about the glamour; Richardson made sure that people saw beyond the glitz and hopes to share that again!

Remember the 2023 Diamond League Finals? Sha’Carri Richardson ran her final race of the season and came in fourth in the women’s 100m race and recorded a time of 10.80. But that was not all. The owner of  “Flow & Go Hair” decided to go all natural! One might think that Sha’Carri is back in her glitz era and might not go natural again. Well, think again– because she has plans!

She revealed her future wish related to this again! The track and field star took to her social media on June 9, talking about being willing to go natural once again! Sha’Carri posted on her Instagram story, talking about her hair. She was cozy on her pillow while saying, “I love my natural hair, I just wish I could do it more often. But it’s okay, imma learn. But I love her.”

But one must think that the Diamond League 2023 was the only time she showed her natural hair? Not at all. Sha’Carri Richardson and her all-natural looks

To look back at the 2023 Diamond League. Sha’Carri Richardson‘s recorded time at the 100m was 10.80 seconds at the Nike Prefontaine Classic. While she did not win, finishing in fourth, there was something that left everyone talking about her. The US star had, for this occasion, decided to flaunt her beautiful natural hair! And there is quite a story behind this! After the race, Sha’Carri confessed, “I will say, my coach, I told him that if I go 10.06, I’ll wear my natural hair. So, when I became the world champion, instead of a championship record, I ran a 10.65. So I had to pull out the natural.”

Fast forward to 2024, she once again ditched her colourful wigs and pizzazz for the Paris Olympic stint. After flaunting her long nails painted with the USA Flag at the scenic opening ceremony of the Olympics, Richardson’s Instagram story showed a new side to her. She flaunted her natural hair and a simple grey Nike t-shirt! She also wore a printed headband. The boomerang featured the track and also a clean girl aesthetic, a makeupless look!

Speaking to Elle magazine, she mentioned in July 2024, “My looks are always mixed up. You never know what you’re going to get when it comes to me.” Additionally, in a collaboration with Sprite back in July 2024, she stated that she loved everything about glam. “I enjoy getting my hair done… I enjoy getting my nails slayed.” Her first-ever nail set featured a pink cheetah print! One that she reminisced about getting with her aunt.

And her first-ever wig toss? Iconic. She grabbed eyeballs by tossing her flaming orange wig at the 2023 US Track and Field Championships. “I’m not gonna change the confidence that I have in myself ever. However, at the same time, I have learned that there is a way to carry it so much more gracefully. That’s where that moment came from,” she told Vogue on the set of her cover shoot.
