Sha’Carri Richardson and Christian Coleman have come into their own in the last few weeks. The track and field duo have been setting couple goals from showing up together at the Super Bowl weekend and vibing to Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance to showering each other with messages on Valentine’s Day. In fact, Sha’Carri Richardson decided to take things up a notch over the weekend while celebrating Coleman’s birthday, taking him by surprise. While details of the celebrations remained under wraps, Coleman has now shared a glimpse of what went down and it involved a beach trip, jet skiing, and much more!

From the moment Sha Carri Richardson jumped into the arms of Christian Coleman at the end of the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, speculations were rife about the duo being romantically involved. Then they showed up together at the USATF Awards Night of Legends last year and their public show of affection and support continued confirming their status as a couple. Well, Coleman’s latest IG post now shows the couple in a full romantic escapade.

Coleman marked his 29 birthday on March 6, and he posted a carousel on Instagram on March 11 that didn’t go unnoticed. Sharing a series of snapshots of his weekend he added the caption: “A weekend filled w Love🖤. Excited for what the rest of the year will bring 🙏🏾,” the sprinter gave fans a look at how he rang in 29.

In one photo, Coleman stood indoors with gold foil “29” and black foil heart balloons behind him, wearing a black Sox cap, a dark graphic tee layered over a white long-sleeve shirt, and light-patterned, loose-fitted jeans. The setting had a cozy yet stylish feel. Another shot captured him seated in a dining area, snapping a mirror selfie in what looked like a rattan-framed mirror, with a chandelier glowing above and a sleek glass table in the warm ambiance. At one point, he switched to a beige cable-knit sweater set, still sporting the black Sox cap, casually looking at his phone against wooden flooring and a plain wall. But the party wasn’t just indoors!

Coleman and a group of friends were seen posing in a lounge with wooden ceiling panels before taking the fun to the beach. And the location according to the post was Anna Maria Island, Florida. One image showed Coleman and Richardson sharing a side hug by the shore, while another captured the group in life vests, arms outstretched against clear blue waters. Also, how can we not mention that burning wafer or rice paper cake? The top paper burned to reveal the ‘Happy Birthday!’ message. And the background score? Well, it was ‘Life is Beautiful’ by 2 Chainz. And it indeed looked beautiful!

There were glimpses of Coleman and Richardson jet skiing together as well. Meanwhile, Richardson had a unique surprise planned for Coleman that he didn’t see coming.

Thank you for being you,” she wrote, making it clear just how much Coleman means to her.

Their love story has been in the public eye since they went official during Super Bowl weekend, and they’re now one of track and field’s power couples.  On Valentine’s Day, the couple attended a Katt Williams show, and after Williams’s shoutout to Richardson from the stage, Coleman shared a video on IG with the caption, “My Valentine done took over the Katt Williams show. @itsshacarri.”

Well, Richardson did pull out all the stops for her boyfriend’s birthday and it was not surprising given how Coleman hyped up SCR’s new Nike drop.

In February, SCR starred in Nike’s first Super Bowl ad since 1998, along with other prominent female athletes such as  A’ja Wilson, Caitlin Clark, and Jordan Chiles. But that was not all.

Nike, who signed Richardson to a multi-year deal worth a reported $20 million last year, launched a custom “So Win” Richardson T-shirt towards the end of last month. Well, with the gear going on sale, Coleman was quick to show his support and hype up SCR’s latest Nike product.

He dropped an Instagram video, flaunting the “So Win” collection T-shirt during a gym session. Coleman can be seen dancing while donning the black t-shirt, which is printed with SCR’s signature long nails holding her Olympic gold medal on the front. The caption of the video reads, “Exclusive SR merch olw yes @itsshacarri 💪” Richardson reshared the video on her Instagram story.

While such moments, including the birthday bash are unforgettable, fans are eager for another big moment—seeing them compete in 2025. Will they both step onto the world stage at the World Championships in August?

Their connection off the track is undeniable. Will that translate to medals on it? The season ahead will tell.
