Ellie is from Columbia, Missouri, where she was a swimming standout at Rock Bridge High School. She was ranked as one of Missouri’s top candidates and won multiple state titles in backstroke and IM. 

Her father, Clint Zweifel, served as Missouri’s State Treasurer. Zweifel attended Rock Bridge High School, where she won remarkable success as a swimmer. She became a two-time Missouri state champion.

She has had an incredible school and college career when it comes to swimming. She specialized in breaststroke and individual medley events. She consistently set personal best times and earned academic honors, such as being named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2020 and 2021.

What Does Ellie Zweifel Do for a Living Now?

After earning her B.S. in Economics from the University of Florida in 2022, Ellie transitioned from sports to finance.

She currently works as an Investment Associate at Northern Trust Corporation, a financial services firm. She was primarily raised in Missouri by her parents, Clint Zweifel and Janice Smith, and her sister, Selma Zweifel.

How Did Bobby Finke and Ellie Zweifel Meet?

Finke and Zweifel first met while they were both students at the University of Florida. On October 17, 2023, the couple celebrated their five-year anniversary and Finke shared an Instagram post captioned, “I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious #5years.”

The couple first met as student-athletes at the University of Florida, where both were part of the Florida Gators swimming program. Their relationship reportedly began in October 2018, as seen in their social media anniversary posts.

Their bond grew through training together, competition, and college life. Both have a shared love for swimming and always express their affection for each other on social media. Finke has also posted about her on his Instagram before. She by his side when he won the Male Race of the Year honor in the Swim Foundation’s Golden Goggles Awards in November 2023.“Had a fun time with @usaswimming and @swim_foundation at Golden Goggles.
