Simone Biles showed up at Lambeau Field with the same loyalty she brings every time she supports her husband and Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens. Before kickoff, the two shared their usual pre-game moment. A hug, a quick kiss, a little ritual they’ve built together over the years. But on this occasion, her support caught the attention of the opposition too.

Right after Biles and Owens embraced to the sound of Packers boos, Biles loudly proclaimed, “Baby, beat the Packers!” A cute but unpopular parting message, deep in enemy territory. The two teams’ heated rivalry coupled with Owens’ past as a Packer made the whole exchange wildly unpopular.
And to anyone who recalls Biles screaming on the Packers sidelines in 2023 when Owens still played for the team, the switch in allegiance was jarring. However, as the match became tighter and the tension grew, her message was slowly pushed to the backdrop.

Owens and the Bears gave it their all and drove the game to the last bit, but a late interception topped off a 28 to 21 victory by Green Bay. The last whistle was blown, and within minutes, social media did what social media does best. Biles’ confident message gave Packers fans the perfect ammunition for some trolling.

Packers fans turned Simone Biles’ cheer into a meme
After their win, Packers fans took Simone Biles’ quote and ran with it. One joked, “I never knew she was a comedian. Good joke.” Another fan added, “Even he kno that ain’t happening.” And more added without hesitation, “Baby… they didnt tho.”
The reactions, however, were hardly surprising. Owens’ move from the Packers aside, the two teams are fierce rivals. Since 1992, Green Bay is 52-16 against Chicago in a rivalry that began in 1921. The game is personal for both sides, and any spark, even a jab, becomes a part of the story.

Another fan joked, “The Packers beat him lol.” One more added with no filter, “Bro got cooked by the Packers.”
Jonathan Owens was a 2023 Packers player for only one season. But then, the Packers restructured their safety group and allowed Owens to enter free agency instead of signing him back. Then, he signed a two-year contract with the Bears in March 2024, so it’s no surprise that Owens is hardly a popular figure amongst the Green Bay faithful.
And neither, it seems, is Biles.

“Wow! The fans loved her before, I’m guessing not so much now,” read one comment while a reluctant fan wrote, “I don’t like her right now 😂 after the game I’ll be a fan again.”
Biles’ words were a bold vote of confidence, but this time it only ended up backfiring.
