Everyone has a vice. For Simone Biles, it’s her luxury indulgence. You name it; she has it – handbags, luxury watches, fashion apparel – the list is as long as a NYC traffic jam. Remember the Paris shopping spree or the $151 million worth stunning gold Hermes bag? Now, the queen of flips is back with yet another eye-popping purchase. Nothing could ever match the luxury of time, but this one is a luxurious timepiece. And the reveal had all the jazz, including a tall coffer, complete with a spinning wheel.

This particular beauty was showcased to the world through a series of visuals on her Instagram Stories. The first image featured a Gringotts vault as tall as a giant. A bouquet adorned the front, almost as an offering. The caption read, “good morning :).” The regal scenery was actually inside an Audemars Piguet store, a luxury watchmaker, to add a timepiece to her collection. The next visual was a video of the reveal depicting a salesman opening the box of an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph for the camera.

Inside the box rested a luxury wristwatch with a metallic strap and a light-colored dial, displayed elegantly on a black cushion. The queen of flips’ reaction? “You’re too cute,” she exclaimed. A close-up shot of the wristwatch displayed details – a gold-toned “tapisserie” patterned dial with three subdials and a date display. Its bezel is encrusted with sparkling diamonds. In the next image, the timepiece can be seen worn by Biles, rather than the watch, it’s her perfectly manicured nails that stole the spotlight.

As if one watch – which no doubt must have cost multiple arms and legs – wasn’t enough, Biles decided to do one better by wearing a smaller yet just as impactful alternative. This one appears to be entirely covered in pave-set diamonds on both the case and the integrated bracelet, giving it a high-end, iced-out look. The dial is a light mother-of-pearl color. At this point, we could have gotten the descriptive wrong. The only person who can explain the sight to behold would be Biles herself. Throw into the mix a hand chain (often called a sautoir or bracelet de main) that trails from the right watch down the hand, featuring several small, round-cut diamonds set at intervals.

A simple reverse image search shows the watch to be priced somewhere close to 50 grand. The smaller alternative – not small in any virtue apart from the size – with a 23mm dial and a frosted finish is priced doubly at close to 107 grand. Biles’ “my 2 babies” caption baffles us, the commoners.

Now the question begs: When will Biles debut the newly bought luxury timepiece? Possibly at another Bears’ game? That remains to be seen. Meanwhile, Biles seems to have traded gymnastics for other recently picked up interests. These ones transcend shopping sprees.

Life of Biles away from gymnastics

Biles’ participation in the 2028 LA Olympics still remains shrouded in mystery. But speculation has grown stronger as she continues to maintain her distance from the mat and beams. “If I’m not on the floor, I definitely will be in and around it, and you guys will see me in L.A., but to what capacity I’m not sure,” she had said at the Ready25 conference in Sydney in August. However, she has been recently spotted atop a saddle a couple of times now.

Back in September, during the US Open, Biles had posted a GRWM video on TikTok before going to watch Coco Gauff take on Donna Vekic during her second round clash. In that video, Biles revealed to her followers that she had been pursuing horseback riding. Calling it her “random sidequest,” Biles has since then been chronicling her horseback riding lessons regularly for her followers, getting even minute details right down to safety gear and grooming her horse.

During one such lesson, Biles compares horseback riding to driving a Mustang – an unlikely comparison that she herself points out – with the difference lying in being unable to control the horse while mentioning that controlling a steering wheel is simpler. In the same spoof video, the videographer mentions to Simone that many of her fans are thrilled to see her debut in horse vaulting.

Simone’s response: Biles sternly said, “Absolutely not!” Simone Biles was flabbergasted with even the suggestion, “It’s too dangerous, because you can’t control the horse. She stopped midway and refused to reason further. The topic ended with her saying, “No. Just no. Hell no.”

Away from the mat and the gymnasiums, Biles’ life sure looks fun. Meanwhile, what do you think of her over-the-top timepiece haul? Aye or Nay? Tell us in a comment.
