“Obviously, they’re going to know what their parents did, so that’ll be just something cool for them to look at and for us to be able to relive those stories and memories with them,” said Jonathan Owens in an interview last year, along with Simone Biles, while talking about their future kids. And honestly, their kids would have so much to look at! After all, their mom would be a gymnastics legend and their dad an NFL player. Simone Biles’ legacy is not hidden from anybody! She isn’t just the most decorated gymnast of all time, but also a freaking 11-time Olympic medalist. So now the question arises, who would inherit her legacy? Maybe her kids? But what does GOAT think about the same?
“Building a family” was Simone Biles’ reply when she and her husband were asked what their couple goals are. While enjoying their time at the Kentucky Derby, Biles and Jonathan Owens were interviewed by E! News today. So when they were asked if the couple thinks it is a good phase of their relationship. Biles, without missing a beat, agreed to it and replied, “I’ve always wanted to be a mother, have kids. And just like him, he’s always wanted to be a dad. So it’s just really exciting.”
The host complimented the couple, saying that they would have beautiful kids. While Owens thanked the host, the eyes of the gymnast lit up. With lots of excitement in her voice, she said, “Hopefully powerful and athletic. But if they’re turned into musicians, who cares? That is still phenomenal as well.” So Simone Biles, who started testing the world of gymnastics at the young age of 6, is super okay with her kids taking any career. Though she might not have expectations from her kids to be a gymnast or a footballer, she does wish for them to sweat a little. But also, if they chose to sing over swing, she is not complaining, that’s for sure.

“As long as you put all your effort into whatever you choose to do,” Owens agreed. This just sits in alignment with his interview from last year, where he said that he would not force his kids to follow in his footsteps and how they will support their kids in whatever they want to do. Talking further on the topic, Biles further said that she would put her children in sports at an early age so they can get familiar with the sports. But she also said, ” Um, but other than that, we don’t really care what they do. It’s just as long as they find their passion.”

Simone Biles clearly hasn’t projected any of her expectations on her future kids, even after doing so much in her career.
