We would be tired of making the list, but it won’t end. As soon as Simone Biles announced her honeymoon after two years of marriage. There was a never-ending fan festive! The guessing game started from the destination and went on to whatnot. And did the couple disappoint? a big fat NO! They delivered everything and much more than what fans wanted. And just when we thought it was all over, there’s a new update! Yes, you heard it right! 

On February 28, Jonathan shared a snap and a clip on his Instagram story. Those uploads had one thing in common: the presence of a snowy background and gigantic mountains. Furthermore, in the clip, the fans had the chance to watch ski racers coming down the slope. The NFL safety felt elated watching the ski racers’ motions. He captioned the clip with the words, “Feel like I’m watching hot tub Time Machine lol.” However, Simone shared a clip almost similar to Jonathan’s one. It also had amateur ski racers coming down the slope in the back of a snow resort. So, did the couple stop at a winter resort to extend their honeymoon? You never know. 

But the perfect trip to the mountain slope may have come rejuvenating after traveling through the land of diverse cultures and climates in the last two weeks. They had the thrill of watching the wildlife so closely in the grassland. Also, they had the experience of watching drizzle in the land of xerophytes. In the end, when the couple were on the brink of ending the honeymoon, they had the chance to go to the other side of the tropical climate, i.e., the icy one. Surprisingly, all these experiences come to them in a single country, South Africa. But wait, are we missing something here? Possibly, the end song! 

On February 27, Simone dropped the end note in her Instagram story. One visual displayed her enjoying a sumptuous meal with her husband, Jonathan Owens, in a candlelight setting. The revealing caption went, “Last dinner here.” The next visual carried a caption like, “Thank you, South Africa. My heart is so full.” And what was the snap? It was a mirror selfie clicked Simone posing with Jonathan by her side. However, Jonathan Owens mirrored the same sentiment while reposting the same picture. He kept the caption, “It’s been real South Africa, more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.” Did the diverse nature of Mzansi land touch their souls? Certainly. Well, at the same time, the experience of watching ski racing on the slope may have played its part. After all, Simone has a long cherished connection with it.

Simone Biles and ski racing—has anyone ever imagined this combination? Possibly not. But Mikaela Shiffrin once had big words to say about her prospects in ski racing. In an interview given at the Olympics. com in 2023, Shiffrin claimed, “I think she’d [Simone Biles] be really good at slalom. But I’m pretty sure she could do everything!” Recall that Biles was en route to returning to the mat during those days. However, the ski racing great was sure about Simone’s success in a sport that she had mastered herself, giving effort for years. So how could Simone be successful there without putting in any effort? 

The Winter Olympian had a straightforward answer. She outrightly claimed, “The explosiveness helps a lot in slalom. But she’s strong and she’s smart, you know, she can do it all!” Simone Biles can do it all. She has yet to get a chance to showcase her talent on the icy slopes. But she showed that she keeps the ski racing closer to her heart. This time, she was a spectator there. Who knows, someday Simone will appear on the slope with all ski racing gears!
