As Biles poses for the famous red frame of the TIME, she flashes her signature smile. What’s more, The GOAT of gymnastics is wearing a necklace with a centerpiece of a literal goat. And then she is also donning a black T-shirt that reads, “Power of She.” This is not the first time that the 28-year-old has made it to TIME’s 100 Most Influential People. She was a part of it back in 2021, when she set an example for the world and other athletes by pulling out of the Tokyo Olympics owing to ‘twisties‘. Well, she has done it again.
Serena Williams, couldn’t help but admire the Ohio native for her trailblazer tendencies. Clearly, Biles’ impact is undeniable. “She has changed lives by bringing mental health and athlete safety to the forefront. She has transformed gymnastics—and even sport itself. But her greatest legacy may be ensuring a better future for those who follow.” The Queen of the court and the goat of gymnastics are close friends.

The two have been seen together at a high-profile event hosted by Vanity Fair, Female Quotient, and Audemars Piguet. This was an intimate evening in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District during Art Basel weekend, focused on empowering entrepreneurs and sparking meaningful change. When Jordan Chiles failed to earn a spot on the World team roster in 2018, she wanted to give up on gymnastics. Simone Biles talked her out of it. And when Simone Biles took her mental health break, it was Jordan who filled in for her on the Olympic team for Tokyo. Such has been the bond between the two Olympic gold medalists and gymnastics best friends. The friendship extends beyond just these two, but also to families as well.

As the Texas native made it to TIME’s 100 list for the second time, Mumma Chiles didn’t back away from congratulating. Taking to her Instagram story, she wrote, “Congratulations!! @simonebiles MUCH DESERVED!“. Even Jordan Chiles was featured in TIME magazine as well.
