What could be the relationship between gymnastics legend Suni Lee and the NBA? Well, out of all the things one could think of, no one would have thought of her as the luck charm. The last few times Lee has shown up at a Knicks game, things have only gone well for the NBA team. In the game against the Orlando Magic on December 3, 2024, Lee arrived, and Mikal Bridges dropped 19, OG Anunoby added 16, and suddenly, the Knicks had fire in their step.

During the NBA regular season, when the New York Knicks met the Phoenix Suns in Madison Square Garden, guess who arrived? Suni Lee attracted a lot of limelight, but she also attracted the win for the Knicks. Sitting courtside, the gymnast witnessed OG Anunoby go beast mode. He dropped 32 points, grabbing six rebounds and going 7-for-7 from the field, including 5-of-5 from beyond the arc. Knicks won by 112–98, and now all the fans of the team want the presence of the gymnast in their games.

As the team went on for the game against the Detroit Pistons, fans couldn’t help but remember her. Multiple fans commented on her presence, even the sports betting platform, BET99 Sportsbook book commented on a post, “Suni Lee must be in attendance.” Not even just the fans, but even the players themselves. Josh Hart said in a conversation, “We need Suni or Anne Hathaway at every game during this playoff run.”

Anne Hathaway has been a lucky charm to the Knicks. Back in 2024, Anunoby tried to save a ball from going out of bounds. He was fortunate enough to stop himself from flying into the first row of seats at Madison Square Garden, where the Batman Dark Knight Rises actress was seated. After that incident, OG had an average of 24.3 points per game for some time.

Nevertheless, the fans want their team to win, and they have been requesting the gymnast left and right to attend their games.

Fans wanted Suni Lee at the Knicks Game

The 2020 Olympic all-around gold medalist did not show up at the Knicks game against Detroit. The fans went crazy over this, one of them went all caps and commented, “WHERE IS SUNI LEE??”. The passion these fans have for their team is just insane.

One fan even went as far as to pray to the gymnast and ask for her blessings. They made the tweet, “May Suni Lee bless the #Knicks.” But the fans desperately needed the Olympian at the game for her charm. This was pretty evident when they kept saying, “Suni Lee must be at the game”.

The New York Knicks defeated the Detroit Pistons with a score of 123-112. A very close match indeed and this one fan took the opportunity when they said, “Game was too close we need suni Lee courtside Monday.” They two teams will meet again for the round 2 of the playoffs on Monday 21st, April. Though a bad day for the Pistons fans who said, “SUNI LEE CANNOT SAVE THE KNICKS TODAY“.  There are hints the Suni might retire from collegiate gymnastics all together and if that sois the case going at a kicks game once in a while cannot be that bad.
