Jordan Chiles has been balancing her time between intense Dancing With The Stars rehearsals and her visits to UCLA, where she continues to inspire the next generation of gymnasts. But her latest Sunday appearance at the Yates Gym turned into something far more exciting than a routine visit – a surprise guest brought star power, nostalgia, and a few unexpected flips to the floor. Cue former Fifth Harmony member and rising singer Normani’s entry.

UCLA Yates Gym took to Instagram to share a few visuals from Sunday. The first visual was a picture of the UCLA Gymnastics team, including Tiana Sumanasekera, posing with Normani and Chiles. In the next image, the Fifth Harmony member performed a front flip, garnering quite a bit of praise and cheers from the UCLA Gymnastics team – unsurprisingly, since she was a gymnast for around eight years.

Muscle memory, you simply can’t forget the skills that you learn in the gymnasium. The caption rightfully stated, “Thank you to @normani for the visit and the motivation today! Once a gymnast, always a gymnast! #CelebritySunday.” The third one was the mother of all, conquered hearts, all nine yards. It showcased the former Fifth Harmony singer and Jordan Chiles dancing to Normani’s All Yours.

Chiles tried to keep up with Normani’s curvy moves, leaving a profound impact on the other young and rising gymnasts at the UCLA Gym. It was a coordination that not many can achieve. But it’s definitely possible when the artists involved are friends. Chiles even shared this moment with her followers via Instagram Stories.

Raises a pertinent question. Are Jordan Chiles and Normani Hamilton close? It certainly seems so.

Jordan Chiles gives a shoutout to Normani after her DWTS performance

During an interview with E! News in early September 2025, Chiles revealed that she sent a message to Normani revealing her stance in Dancing With The Stars. And right after she made that confession, Erza Sosa jumped in and extended a warm welcome to the popstar. He said, “Rehearsal door is always open. You’re more than welcome to watch.” And Chiles wasn’t going to let the invitation remain simple.

Chiles added, “You’re very, very, very, very welcome.” Sosa seemed pretty excited as he almost begged Normani to come forth and partake in a dance. This extracted a scoff from the Olympian, and she claimed, “I love you, Queen, though. I’m so proud of you. And words can’t describe how honored I am to be your friend. And I love you.”

Sosa’s open invitation was proof that Normani isn’t just a pop icon for the duo. She’s a friend, an inspiration, and someone who can teach the duo a lot about dancing and conquering the stage. And Jordan Chiles has already stated that she held Normani on a pedestal as her “idol.” Now that the two have already danced together, can we expect them to train together for the upcoming weeks of DWTS? It’s going to be a pretty important reunion given that Chiles has risen to the fourth spot on the ladder after the third week’s performance.
