The UFC continues to fascinate fans. The highly anticipated UFC 287 match in Miami between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira brought along a star-studded crowd, and rightfully so. From former President Donald Trump to famed Youtuber Logan Paul, celebrities from all walks of life gathered in Miami to watch Adesanya triumphantly reclaim the middleweight title. And the NFL wasn’t left behind, as NFL stars Odell Beckham Jr. and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow represented the coveted league.

Most of the celebrities present at the event have been famous for their love of UFC. However, there is reason to believe that Joe Burrow might have been the biggest fanatic in the building, or so his teammate’s comments make one wonder.

Joe Burrow’s UFC fandom

Joe Burrow harbors a deep love for the dangerous yet exciting world of UFC. Over the past couple of offseasons, Burrow has been a regular at every major UFC event. But the Pro Bowler often confuses the locker room as the octagon, or so his teammate, Ja’Marr Chase claims. During a recent interaction, Chase opened up on Burrow and his passion for the UFC.

UFC punches, fly kicks and punches, It’s normal. He does it to everybody … He tries fly knee kicks on me sometimes. He does it all the time,” shared Chase.

However, Chase does often retaliate, “Hell yeah, I’m not going to let that fly, I remember our first time hanging out, he had UFC on in the living room like the whole time I was there. He didn’t change it, didn’t ask what I wanted to watch. He didn’t care, so that’s how I knew he was a big UFC fan, and he’s always doing UFC fighting moves, that’s the other way I knew.

Burrow went on to confirm these claims by stating they do indeed ‘mess around‘ every now and then. The off-field banter between Burrow and his teammates reflects the healthy culture the Bengals have in place, and the front office might certainly keep this in mind as Burrow is up for a massive payday.

Contract in the works

Both Joe Burrow and the Bengals’ front office have remained tight-lipped about his next contract negotiations. However, Burrow did mention that the Bengals are “working to make that happen” during his first media availability since the end of the 2022 season.

With big-time quarterbacks signing mammoth deals, Burrow is also expected to follow the trend. The Bengals have changed their ways ever since Burrow came into the facility, clenching their first playoff win since 1991.

The Cincinnati franchise also made its first Super Bowl appearance in 33 years, eventually losing to the LVI champions LA Rams. Needless to say, Joe Burrow is the future of the Bengals, and maybe he will bring some of his fiery UFC game to the NFL as well.
