Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid took a big risk by drafting Texas A&M product Patrick Mahomes four years ago. The promising quarterback entered the draft as the second-highest rated quarterback in the 2017 Draft behind Mitchell Trubisky. However, it’s safe to say that he has left the Chicago Bears man far behind in recent years.

Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to their first Super Bowl title after a gap of 50 years last season. The 2018 NFL MVP has only lost 8 games in regular season. However, his form on the road is something that not many NFL quarterbacks can emulate. Well, apart from six-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady, of course.

Patrick Mahomes in elite company alongside Joe Montana and Tom Brady

43-year Tom Brady entered the NFL in 2000 with Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots. As NFL fans will be aware, Brady was a sixth-round pick (199th overall). But he went on to establish himself as arguably the greatest quarterback in the league’s history.

In fact, Brady and the Patriots became the first (and only) NFL team in the league’s history to go the whole season undefeated back in 2007. Brady enjoyed the best years of his career with the Patriots. He also made his way to a historic record in 2016-17 with the second-longest straight road/neutral site wins in the league’s history (14).

However, he can be usurped by Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes in the near future. The Texas-born superstar is currently on a 12-away game winning streak. With two more wins, he will equal Brady’s record. Following that, Mahomes will have a shot at going number one on the list. But Joe Montana’s 21-game record could be a little tricky for Patrick to catch up to.
