The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs warriors could not bring their A-game against the despairing Indianapolis Colts. Kansas City lost against Indianapolis by a score of 20-17. The starting quarterback of the team, Patrick Mahomes, felt as though he lost opportunities and also the offense performed mediocrely. Although Travis Kelce achieved the first touchdown, the tight end’s missed pass in the end zone came at an unfortunate time.

Owing to this, the Chiefs lost the game. After his confusing performance, the veteran TE went on Twitter to express how apologetic he was for his underwhelming gameplay. He typed, “You deserve better out of me…”

The responsibility should be on various parties of the team. There were missed field goals, clumsy punts, and bad fake field goals, which led to penalties, miscues, and more mistakes. Chris Jones’ unsportsmanlike behavior, Dave Toub’s failed fake field goal to Skyy Moore, and a growing beef between Mahomes and OC Eric Bieniemy added to the list of things that went wrong in the game.

In the last nine minutes of the game, the Chiefs were leading with a score of 17-13. The ball was at the Indianapolis Colts‘ 16-yard line. Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback, delivered the ball to Kelce in the end zone on second and seven. The catch would have given the Chiefs a two-score lead, but he dropped it.

The aftermath of the game included the starting shot-caller taking accountability for the unflattering performance of the team and athletes apologizing for their mediocre performance. “We just didn’t play good enough, especially on the offensive side of the ball, starting with me,” Mahomes said.

“Obviously, we missed some kicks and stuff like that, but at the end of the day, we had multiple opportunities to score. So we have to find ways to get the ball in the end zone. That starts with me, we can’t just get yards, we have to get in the end zone when we’re down there,” said the Super Bowl-winning QB.
