Matthew Stafford in his Thursday night win against the Seattle Seahawks showed a little Dwayne Johnson kinda move during the play. The Rams QB popped his index finger out of its place and, when realizing it, he placed it back in and continued to play as if nothing happened.

Matthew Stafford with a heroic move

“Popped it out and I don’t really know how to be honest with you,” Stafford told Erin Andrews in his FOX post-game interview. “Yeah, just looked down, and it was on the left a little bit, threw it back in. Our guys did a great job, gave me a little tape. Was able to just kinda keep it warm and keep playing.”

When asked about his finger post-game, he replied his finger was swollen, but it did not affect his game overall. “Not too much,” he said. “I felt pretty good. Felt like it was functioning enough. Little swollen, but they kept [the wrap] on it and I just went out and played.”

Rams head coach Sean McVay stated he would need more info from the training staff before revealing about the injury, but Matthew told him he was fine.

However, after popping out his finger, Stafford consulted a trainer late in the second quarter of the game and was initially given a compression wrapped around his fingers before transitioning to at least one different wrap. He said the finger didn’t alter his play much.
