At the moment there are just a handful of young promising quarterbacks in the league. Kyler Murray, Lamar Jackson, Deshaun Watson, Josh Allen, and of course, Patrick Mahomes fall in this category. The last two names, in particular, were both drafted in the 2017 NFL draft. Allen (seventh overall) went to the Bills while Mahomes (tenth overall) went to the Kansas City Chiefs. The rest, as they say, is history.

The arrival of Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert is certainly seen as a positive sign for the future of the NFL. However, they still have to reach the dizzying heights of quarterbacks such as Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.

Despite their on-field rivalry, Allen and Mahomes remain cordial with each other. These two have been constantly debating their Madden NFL 21 ratings since the game was announced in July.

Mahomes joined the elite Madden NFL 99 gang for the first time in his career. However, the creators at EA Sports gave Allen a perfect thrower rating of 99, which was more than what Mahomes was assigned. This led to a constant to-and-fro between these two athletes with fans demanding a sensational ‘throw-off’ to settle the debate once and for all.

As per Allen’s recent response in the video, we don’t think that he is going to shy away from a battle. However, he remains adamant that the profits from any such event should go to the charity of his choice.

The University of Wyoming graduate is having the best season of his short NFL career in 2020. The young quarterback has led the Bills to a 5-2 record this season. Josh Allen has thrown for 2,018 yards in seven games with 16 passing TDs and four interceptions to his name.

They will go up against AFC East rivals, New England Patriots, on Sunday. Allen will be keen to build on his MVP-caliber season with another eye-catching display at the Ralph Wilson Stadium in Week Eight.
