Among the few things that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady despises, is his infamous 2000 NFL Draft combine photo. The former 6th-round pick in the 2000 NFL campaign, Brady has raised some questions of his own about the absence of photos of some other NFL greats. Despite his hatred for the photos, Brady’s legacy is built around his best and worst attributes, and he seems to cherish them dearly.

During a recent appearance on the Dan Patrick Show, Brady comments about his infamous photo while calling out Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning. He states, “I was a college kid, I was coming out of college, oh my God, that probably wasn’t my finest moment, but I always joke about that picture, like no one else has a picture like that, where’s Peyton Manning’s picture? He didn’t look great in those gray shorts either, so, but somehow never see a picture of that.”
While he has some blushes about his old photo, Brady admits he will never remove it and believes it was effective in another way. He believes the picture reminds and helps him realize the progress he made in his illustrious NFL career. Despite his sporadic frustrations with the photo, he seems to have made peace with it in time.
Tom Brady is an inspiration for the next generation
Brady will be a marvel for any young rookie who will play in the new season on any NFL franchise. The number 199 overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft has been one of the biggest draft surprises in league history. Even the incoming Buccaneers rookies, who will be his teammates in 2022, were in awe of the legendary QB.
Many of the new rookies for the franchise, like Logan Hall, Luke Goedeke, and Zyon McCollum, will look to learn in Brady’s presence.
While it will be surreal for those young prospects, they also admit to having the desire the compete at the highest level.

The upcoming NFL campaign will put Brady again in a position where he could compete for a Super Bowl. While the 2021 season was full of injuries and disappointments, the roster seems fit and raring to go in 2022. Buccaneers fans will possibly be watching their No.12 in his last season in Tampa Bay.
