Matt LaFleur recently said in an interview that he and Aaron Rodgers are on good terms despite the Green Bay Packers drafting rookie Jordan Love. The second-year head coach for the Packers took to the Radio to clarify that he shares a rather strong bond with his franchise quarterback.

Both Matt and Rodgers “understand that this a business”. Jordan’s drafting has been called a chess move to counter the perception that it is Aaron Rodgers who is vastly responsible for the team’s performance. However, Rodgers isn’t the only player on the team who is responsible for the Wisconsin team.

The 34-year-old has just ended his eighth Pro Bowl selection. He is a two-time league MVP and Super Bowl champion. Acknowledging that a change might become inevitable, Rodgers told reporters, “My sincere desire to start and finish with the same organization… may not be a reality at this point“.
Ending (or having to end) their careers with a different team seem to be catching on for top of the line players. It is growing into something we might see for a while.
