Leonard Fournette is one ruthless player. When he is on the player, he embodies the “beast mode” in his conduct. The running back zips past the opposition with complete menace and crumbles them apart like they are a house of cards. Don’t believe us? His records speak themselves.

Since 2017, Fournette has averaged 101.1 scrimmage yards per game (minimum 30 games). Only Elliott, Christian McCaffrey, Todd Gurley, and Le’Veon Bell have averaged more scrimmage yards in this period. If you still have any doubts over his menace, just have a look at what he did against the Bears defense last match.

Leonard Fournette has had a stellar season for Tampa Bay this season

The 26-year-old Fournette always had a ton of potential. But in his early days at Jacksonville, he looked like another talented youngster gone to waste owing to behavioral issues. This led to the ouster of the RB from the Jaguars set up. Bucs before last season snapped up the free agent and the rest is history in making.

Leonard has had a stellar start to his career with the Bucs. The former Jacksonville running back currently leads Tampa Bay in rushing yards with 413 (4.4 yards per carry). Moreover, he also has recorded four touchdowns in seven games. His play unlike other RB’s does stop at ball progression. He has also been a threat in the passing game, having caught 27 passes for 222 yards.

Fournette continued his rich vein of form for the Bucs against the Bears as well. Leonard carried the ball 15 times for 81 yards, which translates to an impressive 5.4 yards per carry. Moreover, he contributed with a touchdown to complete the rout of the Bears.

Fournette during one play was caught on video literally grinning at Bears defenders as he ran over them. On Wednesday afternoon, independent reporter Dov Kleiman shared the footage on Twitter. “Forgot I was mic’d up,” Fournette replied to the message, with many disappointed-looking emoticons.

Honestly, if I was as talented as Fournette, I would’ve done the same! Never change Leonard, never change!
