gotIt seems there is a change on the horizon for free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick. And his bid to once again play in the NFL. The former Niners QB recently was throwing the football to a self-volunteering Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett in a new workout video. The recent video encourages the possibility of the comeback for Kaepernick to the league. It also excites fans for his potential full-time return to the field.

His last appearance in the league was during the 2016 NFL season when he knelt during the national anthem. These actions were in protests against racial injustices happening in the country then.
Despite being not playing competitive football in the NFL, Kaepernick has been keeping himself in shape.

It seems opportunity might have come knocking for the former NFL QB. He openly made himself available for any wideouts to practice with him. The Lockett brothers did step up voluntarily to his offer and were running routes for Kaepernick. Sterling and Tyler were both caught receiving his deep throws in the training video, which was later published on YouTube.
Can Seattle be a landing spot for Colin Kaepernick?
The opportunity did come knocking for him a few years ago with Seahawks coach Pete Carroll showing his interest in Kaepernick. But he was looking for a backup for then Seattle’s starting QB Russell Wilson but didn’t want him for the starting role. But since Wilson’s departure, there might be a spot for a player like Kaepernick, who once lead the Niners to a Super Bowl game in 2012.
Baltimore was also quite interested in Kaepernick during their 2017 NFL campaign as starting QB Joe Flacco got injured. But owner Steve Bisciotti, after consulting fans, chose against giving Kaepernick a chance.
The Falcons were also in for his services in 2019, but the situation turned the other way quite quickly to his dismay.
There is optimism and a chance of Kaepernick making a comeback in the twilight of his potential NFL career. For someone who was an outcast to the league, this seems like the perfect time to make a return.
