Tom Brady spent his Christmas away from his family this year. And he had to send them a message on the holiday from the football field in Arizona. But he forgot to name one person in that message. His ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.

Tom Brady wishes Merry Christmas to everyone but one

For the first time since the birth of his kids, Tom Brady spent a Christmas day without them. That was due to the Week 16 prime-time clash with the Arizona Cardinals. Just after the game, Brady sent an emotional message to all his loved ones in an on-field interview.

“Say hi to my parents, my sisters, my kids, love you all, hope you had a good time. Merry Christmas to everyone, see you soon,” the seven-time Super Bowl champion said.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers star mentioned all his loved ones, his parents, kids even his sisters. But he did not mention his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. Brady and Bündchen announced their divorce in the last week of October this year after months of speculation. The NFL legend is continuing his long and illustrious career in the league, something the supermodel didn’t want him to do. While Brady’s kids enjoyed their Christmas vacation with their mom, his chase of the eighth Super Bowl ring continued as the Buccaneers edged past the Cardinals in a must-win game.

The quest for the eighth Super Bowl ring

Tom Brady and the Buccaneers have struggled throughout the season. Many have connected the unprecedented drop in the legendary QB’s form this year with his family problems off the field. Going through a divorce is certainly tough. But Brady has managed to keep the Buccaneers in the hunt for the playoffs. And the win against the Cardinals simplified the matter a lot.

After a dead-close game in which both the teams scored an equal number of points in each quarter, Brady and the Buccaneers took their chance in OT. In the end, a field goal was enough for them to win.

The QB threw 281 passing yards in the game with one touchdown. But he also threw two interceptions which could have proved costly for the team.

The Buccaneers will need to win their week 17 game against the Carolina Panthers to seal their playoff berth. But for that, Brady will have to reduce the turnovers. The QB has thrown six interceptions in the last three games. That can come back and bite the team.

He may have forgotten Gisele Bündchen in his Christmas message, but Brady hasn’t forgotten to win. Can the 7-8 Buccaneers continue his quest of an unprecedented eighth Super Bowl ring?
