Tua Tagovailoa may have just increased the Miami area stress levels after concerning news about the Dolphins QB emerged. For the second time in the 2022 season, Tagovailoa is on the concussion protocol after a hit in the loss against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. And certain NFL experts think that Tua’s season is over.

Former Baylor grad and Heisman Trophy winner, Robert Griffin III, has serious concerns over Tua Tagovailoa’s well being. The former Washington Redskins QB and ESPN NFL analyst is more worried about Tua’s head injuries and his longevity than his availability on Sunday for the game against the New England Patriots.
“Guys with head injuries have gone off the field and done things to hurt themselves. Or their families. Because of things that happened on the field. CTE. All these things come into play. So my mind is like. What does it look like for Tua in the future,” RG III said on ESPN NFL Countdown.

I agree with this, the guy has possibly had three concussions this year. That’s dangerous for his long term health.
I agree. His life after football needs to be priority one. Not what he can do for the Dolphins.
And football fans seemed to wholeheartedly agree. The 8-6 Miami Dolphins lost 26-20 to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. However, Tua’s concussion worries seem to be their biggest problem right now.

When former Kansas City Chiefs star WR Tyreek Hill arrived in the pre-season to join Tua and Jaylen Waddle, things looked super positive. Miami was riding the winning wave up until very recently when they hit a rock in their season run. The Dolphins have lost their last four regular season fixtures and are in major doubt for the playoffs. And without Tua, things will get exponentially harder.

Tagovailoa was at the forefront of the MVP race this season. However, his exclusion from the Pro Bowl 2023 selections perhaps relayed a lack of faith the NFL has in the Hawaii native. The 24-year-old has 25 touchdown throws this season after Week 16. However, it’s the turnovers and interceptions that are getting too costly. Tua threw 3 interceptions against the Packers game over 310 yards and 1 TD.

Tua suffered a concussion against the Buffalo Bills this season and came back to play in the same game. 4 days after the Bills hit, Tagovailoa was carted off the field after he was momentarily paralyzed against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, Tua keeps going and Griffin’s concerns are not completely absurd. “You gotta put the person before the player,” RGIII added.
