As the news spread, social media was inundated with posts and tweets honoring Brady and his 22-year career. Nevertheless, later in the day, Tom Brady denied the reports and said that he is yet to make a decision.

As per Bally Sports, Brady reached out to Buccaneers’ GM Jason Licht and said he hasn’t announced his retirement. Furthermore, Brady’s agent Don Yee told Adam Schefter that only Brady knows whether he will retire or not. However, Don never asserted that Brady is retiring, nor did he deny that he is retiring.

Additionally, Brady’s father, Tom Brady Sr., told KRON4 News that his son is not retiring and dismissed the news as rumors. He said, “An online publication started circulating an unsubstantiated rumor. However, a number of NFL insiders are now reporting it.”

Additionally, he told NFL Network’s Mike Giardi that the reports are pure speculation. Brady Sr. added that his son has not decided yet, and anyone who asserts otherwise is flat-out wrong.

He said, “Tommy has not made a final decision one way or the other and anybody else says that he has, is absolutely wrong.”

Brady has sent mixed signals about his retirement since the end of the postseason against the Los Angeles Rams. Following his loss to the LA Rams, Brady made an appearance in his podcast show “Let’s Go! Podcast” On the show, he said he would decide based on what is best for his family.

He said, “I’m gonna spend some time with them and give them what they need because they’ve really been giving me what I need the last six months to do what I love to do………. It’s what we want as a family. And I’m gonna spend a lot of time with them and figure out in the future what’s next.” Previously, he has expressed a desire to play until the age of 45 years.

Even though Tom has dismissed ESPN’s report, he has his family commitments as well. Therefore, it is only up to the G.O.A.T. to decide. One thing’s for sure: he’ll retire the greatest player in the history of the NFL.
