The Bucs’ quarterback Tom Brady recently had a massive international success, as he played in Germany for the first time and won the game against the Seahawks. After the matchup, he felt mesmerized by the attendance of the crowd and the support he received.

Recently, Brady appeared in his weekly podcast, ‘Let’s Go’, and talked about his retirement plan after playing in the NFL. His answer might surprise everyone.

Tom Brady talks about playing in the CFL

While speaking to the host Jim Gray, Brady talked about playing in the CFL (Canadian Football League) after retiring from the NFL. “I think the fact that I’m undefeated outside the U.S., I’m hoping I can get to go to play in the CFL at some point and really see what I can make of myself up there because things have gone pretty well outside the country,” Brady said. 

Although Brady joked about playing in the CFL, it certainly is still plausible for the 7-time Super Bowl champion. Doug Flutie, one of the legends of the NFL and CFL, is a good friend of Brady. According to Brady, Flutie said always good things about the CFL, which might intrigue Brady after he retires from the NFL.

It is worth noting that Flutie played for the Patriots in the NFL and then he moved to the CFL to sign with the British Columbia Lions. Currently, Brady is 45 years old and still playing strongly in the NFL. Although he already retired from the NFL after last year’s campaign with the Bucs, he made a U-turn on his retirement and returned to play this current season.

The Bucs are slowly getting back on track

In the early part of the season, the Bucs and Brady endured some tough times, as they won only 3 out of 8 games in the first half of the season. At that time, Brady was struggling with his personal problems as well, which probably affected his on-field performance as well.

However, the second half saw a different Brady in 2 games so far, coincidentally after his divorce from his wife, Gisele Bündchen. With Brady coming back to his best, the Bucs also won 2 back-to-back games, against the Rams and the Seahawks, respectively. Now, the Bucs are back in playoff contention, as the GOAT is vying for another Super Bowl to end his career, possibly on a high note.
