Both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Rams have started off their NFL season in positive fashion. Both teams are 2-0 so far. Unfortunately, only one of the teams will leave the next match day undefeated as Tom Brady and Tampa Bay face off against Matthew Stafford’s LA Rams.

Tom Brady, Matthew Stafford, and the Super Bowl

There is a mind-blowing record that Tom Brady has over Matthew Stafford. Every season the Tampa Bay quarterback has started against Matthew Stafford, Brady has gone on to win the Super Bowl. There have been 3 such instances in the past where this has happened.

The first instance happened in 2014 when Brady defeated Stafford’s Detroit Lions 34-9 and went on to win Super Bowl XLIX. Then it happened again in 2018, where Brady lost to Stafford but went on to win the Super Bowl. The most recent instance was last year when Brady beat Lions 47-7 and ended up winning the Super Bowl.

Coach Bruce Arians stated Friday that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will miss starting outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul and kick returner, Jaydon Mickens, for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Wide receiver Antonio Brown, who was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier this week, was also labeled “very questionable,” although he is unlikely to participate. For Brown to play, as per NFL guidelines, he would have to be entirely symptom free for 24 hours and pass two COVID-19 tests separated by 24 hours before being allowed to travel.
