After experiencing a tough loss against the Browns this Sunday, Tom Brady appeared in his weekly podcast, ‘Lets’ Go’ with Jim Gray, where he talked about many things. In that podcast interview, Gray asked Brady one interesting question about the measures he took to defeat his massive opponents.

Although Brady is 6.4 feet, he is not built massive, like most defensive players in the NFL. Quarterbacks often use clever methods to bring down their opponents, as well as to avoid getting sacked. At first, Gray’s question intrigued Brady, but the GOAT has a different answer to it.

In the podcast interview, Brady said, “You have so many pads on them, I don’t think there are many things that are exposed. I mean, most of these guys are built like telephone poles. They are so strong.” Then, Brady took Saints defensive end Cam Jordan’s example to prove a point about the strength of every player in the NFL. “Cam Jordan from the Saints missed like an eye poke, that’s been pretty nasty… I think there are some things guys are grappling down… Nothing that I see that keeping a player, I think the bodies are built for that type of punishment when you get to this point in the NFL,” Brady further stated.

Although Brady doesn’t have a big record of using unusual tactics, he did get a massive fine of $11,139 earlier this season for kicking at Falcons DL Grady Jarrett right after a sack.

It is also worth mentioning that earlier this season, Brady became the most-sacked (555) quarterback in the history of the NFL, an unwanted record for Brady. During the game against the Ravens, he achieved this record, surpassing Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger, who held that record for a long time.

Brady and the Bucs could miss the playoffs

This Sunday, the Bucs lost a tough game against the Browns in overtime and fell below .500 once again. However, they are still maintaining their top spot in the NFC South division, sitting above the Falcons.

Moreover, they lost their defensive tackle Tristan Wirfs through injury in the overtime. Certainly, not a great sign for the Bucs in terms of their season ahead. Next Monday, they will face the Saints, which will be a must-win game for them, if they want to qualify for the playoffs.
