Former NFL QB Tom Brady seems to have a tough time deciding what to do next after his retirement. The former Buccaneers superstar QB was visibly still finding his feet after finishing his 22 year NFL career. He discussed what he won’t be indulging in during his off time from the field.

Brady was quite clear that he didn’t see the sport of golf as something he will pursue in the future. He believes that the sport doesn’t sit well with him and disliked going back to a golf course. While during the recent episode of the Let’s Go Podcast, he shares his experiences on golf courses.

He was quoted saying, “Well, I played a little golf last week and I can assure you it won’t be golf. Because I have been retired from football for one week and I have played golf for one week, but now I have retired from golf as well. Because I suck at that sport. So I will have to find some competitive sports to channel my time and energy.

Tom Brady shuts down golfing as an outlet post-retirement

Brady has played in some charity events with the sport’s biggest icons, like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. The 7-time Super Bowl champion does not see himself on the lush green courses because he is uncomfortable playing the sport. He will look to channel his energy to some other competitive sport.

While talking about his plans, he expresses he is still figuring that part out. The decision to retire has taken a huge bearing on him emotionally, mentally, and physically. Brady is still contemplating all his options so that he doesn’t make any mistakes.

The problem here for Brady isn’t a lack of options, but more like getting accustomed to life outside of football. It’s difficult for people to adapt and figure out what they do after retirement because it feels like they have left a part of themselves in their job. Brady might just come back after one season if he realizes that there is more football left in him.
