“You know how I feel, Aaron Rodgers is a bad man. You know where I stand on that. In this particular instance, I’m going to disagree with you. I’m not looking at it in the same way.

“When the question was asked, I didn’t take it as ‘Who’s the more talented QB?’ I’m looking at this upcoming season and saying who do I think will look better.

“You know what I’m paying attention to, not just that he (Tom Brady) has Gronkowski. But he has Gronkowski with OJ Howard and with Cameron Brate.

“Tom Brady’s best years is when he’s had both – a slot caliber receiver like Julian Edelman or when he had the two tight ends. Whether it would be Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski,” Smith said on the show.

Smith also addressed Tom Brady’s rating as the fifth-best quarterback in the league heading into the 2020 season.

“Of course I’m going to tell you that Aaron Rodgers, as a talent, is the greatest ever since before we saw Patrick Mahomes. I’m talking about from a talent perspective. I totally believe in Aaron Rodgers.

“But I do believe that Tom Brady can have a better season than Rodgers because of the situation he finds himself in (at Tampa Bay Buccaneers),” Smith concluded.
