Kevin Stefanski’s Cleveland Browns were dealt their third loss of the season at the hands of the Jon Gruden-led Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8. Derek Carr put in an inspired performance to condemn the Browns to their first home defeat of the season. Baker Mayfield and Co. are now on a 5-3 record and will look to recoup during their bye week now.

Speaking to the media after Sunday’s disheartening 6-16 loss, Browns quarterback Mayfield did not mince his words. The former Oklahoma Sooners man maintains that his team needs to improve if they want to make it to the Playoffs this year.

“Not anywhere close to where we want to be. We have a 5-3 record. It should be a lot better. We believe that. That is why our locker room is pissed off.

“We believe in this locker room, and we are going to continue to get better and hopefully going on a streak right after this bye week,” Mayfield said via 92.3 The Fan.

Kareem Hunt, Myles Garrett, not happy after Sunday’s loss to the Raiders

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt rushed for 66 yards on 14 carries against the Raiders. However, even he was not satisfied with the end result. He said, “Definitely disappointed. That is a game I feel like we definitely should have won but hats off to them.

“Those guys did a good job of managing the clock, running the football, and doing a good job to keep us out of the end zone on offense. We have to learn from it and get better.”

Browns DE Myles Garrett echoed the same sentiment as he addressed the media after yesterday’s disappointing loss.

“This is not a question on whether we can regroup. Nobody is going worried about this two weeks from now. It is just about getting the guys that we need back healthy and coming back and executing our gameplan. We did not execute today, and they did,” Garrett added.

The Browns will use this time off to recover and come back stronger in Week 10. Kareem Hunt and Myles Garrett both suffered minor knocks during last night’s game at the FirstEnergy Stadium.

RB Nick Chubb and WR Jarvis Landry will also use this time to deal with their injury woes and are expected to return when the Browns play the Houston Texans on November 15, 2020.
