The Mayor of Cincinnati first initiated the odd grumble. Aftab Pureval spoke against the elite QB, Patrick Mahomes. Therefore, to save his favorite quarterback from disrespectful claims, the Mayor of Kansas City ran to his aid.

Mayor of Cincinnati takes mean shots at Patrick Mahomes

Pureval declared Sunday as ‘They Gotta Play Us Day.’ He released an official proclamation that many fans found weird and cringe-inducing. The mayor asked Joe Burrow to “take a paternity test” to prove that he is not the father of the 27-year-old Mahomes.

The diss was so “weak” and “embarrassing” that the long-time partner and wife of Mahomes supported the Kansas City mayor’s response.

A fan suggested Lucas to stay humble against the mean words of the mayor of Cincinnati.

A fan pointed out a historical error that Aftab Pureval made. The 40-year-old mayor trolled Kansas City because it shared the same name as its neighboring city. Also, eight years before Kansas became the 34th state in 1861, Kansas City was formed.

One would expect a Bengals fan to support their mayor. However, this fan did not want to associate themself with the mayor.

Additionally, one fan stopped Lucas from doing what Pureval did.

Another fan urges Mayor Lucas to stay “classy”.

The war between the mayors will end only when the two teams play against each other tomorrow. Whoever wins will directly advance to the biggest and most important night of the year – The Super Bowl. Hence, it will be interesting to see who will win the bragging rights for the rest of the year.
